Expanding vocabulary

There are some words in the first reading (page 124) which I think can be interesting for you to take a look at.
The words are: BRING UP - CURB - MELT - ENDANGER - FLOODS - CHOKING - GAMBLING - STANDARDS - THREATENING
1-Identify the words in the text
2-Try to understand meaning from context, use a dictionary if you can't
3-How would you use those words in a letter or essay? The topic of this imaginary writing is free, it can vary from health, education, addictions, climate, music, to many more.
4-It would be nice to see your ideas in COMMENTS. Remember to write your name when you finish
5- Be creative and have fun. See you !!!!

Writing time

Hi people! As you may remember, this blog is not personal, but for all people in our First Michigan Course, and the idea is to profit from our contributions to it. The exam in very close and it's important to keep practicing all areas, so why not using this tool for our own benefit? I suggest you post your writings here, essays as well as letters; they will all be welcome since they 'll be a new or different source of ideas we can all benefit from.

Hello, and congratulation!!

Teacher,on my opnion,I think I ought to give you my congratulations ,because of the impressive way you explained the item of" modal verbs".I confess that I read several books of grammar ,however, I've never found explaination so clear about this grammatical point.Congratulations again ,and have fun!

Mistakes are welcome

I´m sure you know how to correct all the mistakes that I've collected here. Nevertheless, you keep on making them in your writings. Here it goes!!!

1) This activities are very interesting because you help the environment
2) I would choose the first activity because has an important effect on people
3) The differents activities are very important
4) Between the 3 activities I like the last one
5) I prefer plant trees because I love the trees
6) Is very important to have the necessary tools
7) If you ask me what activity do I choose, I really don’t know
8) I haven’t any idea of the possible risks
9) Even though is true that I like to work outside, this time is different
10) Planting trees is very important as cleaning the beach
